Why Partnership?
Partnership is our way of recognizing the New Testament value of being connected to the Body of Christ, and as an expression of a persons commitment to the local church that the Lord has called them to be a part of.At GEBC, Partners are also given the responsibility to help govern and to support the vision and direction of our church and to be part of the process of fulfilling our core purpose, namely To Love God, Love Others and Serve the World
How to become a Partner in the Vision?
Any person who confesses faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who has been baptised as a believer, shows evidence of following Christ in newness of life, has been attending the church for more than six months, and who is willing to uphold the GEBC Statement of Faith and Partners commitments as outlined below may apply to become a Partner of the Vision at GEBC.Partners Commitment
The following are the commitments that Partners in the Vision @ GEBC are asked to up-hold by the grace of God:To be committed to a lifestyle of discipleship and to live a life of belief and behaviour consistent with the Word of God
To take an active and diligent part in the life and work of our church by regularly attending its services of worship, and by using my abilities and God given spiritual gifts in whatever way He shall direct
To be faithful in prayer for our church, our leadership, our ministries, and our witness in the community and beyond.
To commit myself to a biblical attitude to money and tithing and to give conscientiously to the support of our church according to my means.
To share in the government of the church by supporting and encouraging the leadership of the church and by attending church members meetings.
To do all in my power to deepen and enrich the spirit of fellowship and community in our church, always seeking to develop a spirit of love in this fellowship of Christ's people.
To share by life and word in the supreme task of the church, namely, faithfully being a witness to the Good News of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit
